Establishing a Baseline

Companies that subscribe to the service will undergo a full system disk clone of a "fresh-state." What this means is that during our down time (over night, on a weekend, vacation week, etc.) Network Defense Solutions will either come to your location, or you can ship / deliver your system to our facility and we will begin the process of setting up your machine from a "day 1 state." What does this mean?

Once we have possession of your system we will review the tools, software, end-point protection, and any other setup features that your environment utilizes and install your system with everything you need to run your business. Once this is completed, the hard drive is then kept off-site and your system is returned to you (this process normally takes a few hours which is why it is performed outside of normal business hours.)

Once your system baseline is established, if your system sustains a crash, hardware malfunction or other failure we are able to recover your important data, re-image your device and have you backup and running within the next hour or two. With other solutions such as: carbonite, iCloud, Google Drive, etc. an off-site solution combined with an additional layer of backup can provide a safety net for your data. However, it can become daunting in deciding what data is important and, what data isn't.

How it Works

  • Disks are Imaged

    Your system is re-configured with a "save state" hard drive that contains all the critical applications, tools and data your business relies upon. The system is returned to you the next business day with no modifications or interruptions.

  • System Malfunction

    If in the event your system hits a critical point (bad update, hardware failure, user abuse, malware, ransomware, etc.) and we are notified your "save state" hard disk is pulled, your data is archived from the impacted system, and your system is brought backup within 1-2 hours. This re-image contains all your programs, tools and data. If we have deployed a backup solution for you, your data is stored within your network.

  • Remote Support

    Once the system is re-configured from a day-1 backup if needed a remote-support technician will connect to your system and setup any remaining applications, or environment-specific details. After which you may begin utilizing the computer at full capacity.

  • Additional Diagnosis

    While your system is being brought back up, your technician may also refer you to any failing components, or future issues which may lead up to the issue re-occurring. You will also receive a printout of the repairs, and additional information e-mailed to you after the service(s) have been completed.

  • 24/7 System Monitoring

    24/7 x 365 Monitoring assures that your systems, hard drives and data are protected! Should a disk fail within minutes hard ware is replaced with no interruption to your business. If you choose to manage the virtual portions of your business on-premises a new disk will either be delivered via next-day mail or, delivered and replaced by a technician. While your new disk is being set up your old disk is sent zeroed or destroyed and a new hard drive will be waiting if the replacement fails. All this is done without any customer intervention. On top of hardware monitoring we also monitor system and software versions and set schedules for remote / onsite backups as well as upgrades so you can focus on your business.
